Soccer Zoom

Designed a soccer coaching platform that empowers coaches and young athletes with personalized training, real-time progress tracking, and gamified motivation. Led the full UI/UX process—user research, wireframing, prototyping, and usability testing—resulting in a tool that improved training engagement and streamlined coach workflows. Key features include interactive drills, analytics dashboards, and achievement systems, all crafted with a user-first approach and validated through iterative feedback.

Challenge

When I first joined the Soccer Coaching App project, I quickly realized that the world of youth soccer was still tangled in old habits—coaches scribbling notes on paper, players feeling disconnected from their own growth, and everyone wishing for more meaningful feedback. My mission was clear: bridge these gaps with design that truly listens.

User Research

I started by spending time where it mattered most. I sat down with five coaches and eight young players, not just to ask questions, but to immerse myself in their routines and frustrations. One coach told me, “I spend more time tracking attendance than giving feedback.” A player confided, “I never know if I’m actually improving.”

I also watched training sessions in action. There, I saw the chaos of juggling drills, attendance, and encouragement—all without digital support. These observations painted a vivid picture of daily pain points and hidden opportunities.

Insights Into Action

Armed with these stories, I mapped out the journey of both coaches and players. It became clear that both groups craved:

  • Personalized training that adapts to individual skill levels.

  • Clear, visual progress tracking to make achievements visible.

  • Seamless communication

  • Recognition and motivation through gamified elements.

But these weren’t just features—they were answers to real frustrations I’d heard firsthand.
